A 24-hour, seven-day-a-week fitness concept is looking to build off the success of its Cincinnati location by expanding into Butler County.
The move is part of Workout Anytime providing opportunities to business-minded entrepreneurs with a “significant expansion” into new territories, according to Randy Trotter, vice president of development.
Tony Petrocelli, who owns and operates a Cincinnati-area location, is looking to open a Hamilton location by the end of this summer, Trotter said.
“Hamilton is perfect for our type of fitness center because it’s under-served in value priced model,” he said. “We charge $15 a month for a membership and you go to any Workout Anytime in the country. There’s over 100.”
A $25 a month fee includes basic membership, plus tanning, HydroMassage and guest privileges, Trotter said.
The Atlanta-based company also is looking for franchisees to open two other Workout Anytime locations elsewhere in Butler County.
When establishing a location, the company looks for a convenient, 6,000-square-foot site in a grocery-anchored area shopping center.
Then it moves in state-of-the art matrix equipment, 26 pieces of cardio equipment, circuit training and free weights.
“We also have locker rooms and showers so if somebody working and wants to come in at 4 a.m., they can get a work out, shower and go … because we’re open 24 hours,” Trotter said. “People have keycards and they get in at any time of the day.”
Founded in 1999 by fitness veterans John Quattrocchi and Steve Strickland, Workout Anytime franchising started in 2006, with 200 sold, he said. Of that number, more than 100 have opened with 70 to 80 scheduled to open this year.
Workout Anytime helps franchisees with real estate sites, aiding in lease negotiations that lead to six months free rent and build-out paid by a landlord, Trotter said.
“We’ve been so successful around the country that the landlords actually want us in their shopping centers, and then we help with training and support and getting them open,” he said.
Special franchising offers are available for members of the military.
