It\u2019s worth repeating in this blog article: \u201cIt is hard to out-exercise your food\/caloric intake.\u201d If you are drinking 2 cokes a day, (298 calories) having a morning coffee Latte or Frappuccino (150-180 calories), eating a fast food lunch with fries (365 calories just for the fries), and having 3 Bud Lights (330 calories) or 2 glasses of red wine (250 calories) at night, you are making it really hard on yourself to lose weight! You are consuming ~1100 calories without counting the meals!<\/p>\n<p>The average recommended caloric intake for men and women differ based on gender, age range, frame, and activity level. For conversation purposes, women should be in the 1,800-2,200 range and men 2,200 -2,800 range. Looking at the above-wasted caloric intake, it is ~ 50% of a women\u2019s diet and 50% or less for the men. Other big calorie wasters are chips, breakfast bars, sports drinks, iced tea, lemonade, fruit drinks, pancake syrups, desserts, crackers, fast food with mayo, lots of catsup, and so on. I think we all get the point here.<\/p>\n<p>How to tame your caloric intake? Become a label reader. Easy to do, particularly with breakfast foods. There are lots of healthy oatmeal and lots of high sugar oatmeal. Drink more water, less soda. Buy low-sugar sports drinks and water it down! Say no to fries, or don\u2019t order fries every time. There are lots of healthy crackers, ice cream, and snack foods; just read the labels.<\/p>\n<p>The moral of the story here is just be aware of wasted calories and become a label reader!
