The newest Workout Anytime facility will open Friday in Ooltewah.
Scott Shepperd, a former collegiate soccer player and coach for his daughter’s varsity Lacrosse team at Ooltewah High; is the owner, along with his wife Tara, of the new 5,600-square-foot facility in the Apison Crossing shopping center.
“There are no 24/7 workout facilities in Ooltewah so we think there is a great opportunity here in one of the fastest growing parts of town,” Shepherd said.
The around-the-clock fitness center will be open for business from 8-10 a.m for the first few days, starting Friday, before being open 24 hours a day every day, starting next week. Shepherd is hosting a grand opening on Friday, March 15.
“I’ve wanted to open up my own business in the some sort of sports area pretty much since I was a kid,” Shepherd said.
The Atlanta-based Workout Anytime has more than 150 locations, including other local facilities in North Shore, Hixson, Cleveland, Dayton and Athens, Tennessee and in Lafayette, Georgia.
The centers stay open around the clock, providing key access during the overnight hours for members.
